After my father's death, I had a renewed sense of wonder about my existence and life.
The energy my father's collection of folk art from all over the world fizzled out the moment they lost owner. This was a reminder that humans are also air and water.
The life becomes life when it mingles with the world and melts into each other.
I'm trying to find that rhythm as an image.
浮流
父を亡くし、自身が生きていることの不思議に改めて問い耽る。
世界中から父が蒐集した民芸品は、主を亡くした瞬間にその物に漲らせていたエネルギーを霧散させていった。その様子は、人もまた空気であり水であるのだということをしめしているようであった。
生命が世界と混じり溶け合うことで生命となるさま、その律動をイメージとして手繰っている。
